Ethiopian Addis Ababa Light Rail is the first urban light rail in Ethiopia and even East Africa. The project adopts Chinese railway technical standards, and the total length of the first phase is about 31.3 kilometers. The engineering design is mainly based on the ground line, and some sections use elevated lines and underground lines, and the maximum driving speed is 70 kilometers per hour. This is a historical moment for Ethiopia, marking Ethiopia's entry into a new era of "modern urban rail transit" and adding a new chapter in the construction of urban rail transit in East Africa.
